Our thoughts are with you and the family during this difficult time. Bill has put up a good fight. We enjoyed our visits with Bill as a neighbor at Silent Valley in the summer time. May God give you extra strength.

Condolence: Sincerest sympathy to Bill's family at this time. I knew Bill for more than 40 years and worked with him for almost half of that at the Guelph District Animal Health Office. His work ethic was always evident and certainly put to the test during the lean staff numbers in GDO during the 90's. Despite this he filled what spare time was available for community service.

Condolence: Had the pleasure of working with Bill when he was a trustee (and chairman) of the Wellington County Board of Ed. During his years there I was the Superintendent of Finance. Always enjoyed the time with him both at committee and Board meetings. He was particularly helpful when our family dog, along with one other, was bitten by a racoon at the cottage. Bill told me to bring the suspected animal in to the office in the morning and he stopped on his way in to work (removed the animals head) and sent it in for testing for rabies. He smiled nicely when I asked what I should do with the rest of the animal.

Condolence: Our deepest condolences to Dianne and all the family - very many fond memories of Bill taking a newly minted vet and providing him with an education on the stuff that really mattered. Throughout the many years of knowing him he has been a stalwart pillar in the community and we will miss him.
