Life Story for Russell Field

Russell George Field passed away peacefully with family at his side on Monday, February 16, 2015 at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton in his 88th year.

Beloved husband of Jean (Dickson) for 58 years. Loving father of Heather and Paul Huston of London, and Vaughan and Emira Field of Milton. Proud grandfather of Allison Huston and Shaun Baron of London, Megan Huston and Kevin Faherty of Niagara Falls, and Dijana Spajic and Ivana Spajic of Milton.

Dear son of the late John and Eva (Pomeroy) Field.

Lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters Ken and Eileen Field of Cambridge, Marjorie Klinck of Napanee, Ruth and Mervin Biesel of Waterloo, and Claude and Elaine Field of Clifford.

Predeceased by his sister Dorothy Wicke and husband Carl of Listowel and by his brother-in-law Ken Klinck .

Also remembered by George Dickson of Belmore, Stella Douglas of Clifford, Ralph and Deanne Dickson of Clifford, Alice and Ivan Mawhinney of Mildmay as well as 39 nieces and nephews.

Russell was born on Concession D in Carrick Township in 1927 and spent most of his adult life farming, including 48 years with Jean on their dairy farm in Carrick Township, before retiring to Clifford in 2004.

He loved sports and could fondly remember the last time the Toronto Maple Leafs won the Stanley Cup.

Friends may call at Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Knox United Church, 11 Allan St. E., Clifford on Saturday, February 21st at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Interment in Clifford Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Sound System Fund of Knox United Church or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
