Irene Emma Louise (Messerschmidt) Derbecker of Hanover and formerly of Clifford passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Sunday, October 9, 2016 in her 95th year.

Irene was the wife of the late Arlington Derbecker, and mother of Keith and Henny Derbecker of Normanby Township, and Ruth and Gerald Koeslag of Minto Township.

Remembered by her grandchildren Chris and Val Derbecker, Amy and Jody Bishop, Shelley Derbecker and Brandon Kerr, Scott and Lacey Koeslag, Ryan and Chantelle Koeslag, and Dwayne and Kimberley Koeslag; by her great-grandchildren Riley, Ben, Anika, Hannah, Addison, Felicity, Mya, Landon, Rylan, and Bryce; and by her sisters-in-law Ruby Messerschmidt of Hanover, and Elva Pruder of London.

She was predeceased by her sisters Hilda Keitch and Luella Monk, by her brothers Clarence Messerschmidt and Myron Messerschmidt, and by her parents William and Louisa (Gateman) Messerschmidt.

Friends may call at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Clifford on Wednesday, October 12th at 1:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service.

Interment in Clifford Cemetery.
