Edward Jackson ~ of Harriston, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 14, 2010 in his 100th year.

Ed was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Irene (Hooper) Jackson in 2005.

He is survived by his children Ruth Howell of Troy, Michigan, John Jackson of Kitchener, Donald Jackson of Toronto, and Joan Ronalds and her husband Bill of Langley, BC.

Remembered by his grandchildren Randy Howell and his wife Cynthia, Christine Carrier and her husband Bryce, Kimberley Ronalds and her fiance Michael Hutchison, and Gregory Ronalds, and by his great-grandchildren Spencer and Lillian Howell.

Predeceased by his son-in-law John Howell, his grandson Brian Howell, and by his brothers William Jackson and Archie Jackson.

Ed was born in Fulton Mills (Greenbush), the son of John Daniel Jackson and Jane Evelyn Stevenson and spent most of his life in the Harriston and Clifford area.

As a herdsman, miller and sheep-breeder, Ed was the 3rd generation of his family to breed Oxford and Shropshire sheep. At the age of 90, he sold his last sheep, celebrating 80 years as a sheep exhibitor. His sheep were awarded several grand championships at the Canadian National Exhibition.

Friends may call at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 18th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m.

Interment in Clifford Cemetery.
