Obituary for Bob Robbins

Robert 'Bob' Lloyd Robbins formerly of Kitchener and St.Clements passed away at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Harriston on Monday, December 13, 2021 in his 84th year.

Bob was the father of Kim Paget and Tony Moxey of Palmerston, and Steve and Melanie Robbins of Elmira.

Remembered by his grandchildren Jesse Paget, Jamie Paget, Alex Halley, Jordyn Robbins, and Macey Robbins, and his many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sisters Ann Hanley, Margaret Robbins, and Mae Faulkner, and by his parents Charles and Margaret Robbins.

Dad enjoyed working at Cluett Peabody, Canada (Arrow Shirts) starting in Vancouver in 1959, then travelling to Kitchener in 1964 until his retirement in 1999. He had many great stories and memories of his time at Arrow Shirts and the many friends he made.

A love of cards drove dad’s social life with euchre and cribbage as his favourites. Many social events revolved around cards and enjoying a beer with some friends. These games and accompanying ‘trash talk’ were held in homes and his favourite Legion in Kitchener. His wit and sarcasm were with him to the end.

Bob’s children, Kim and Steven would like to thank all the staff at Caressant Care in Harriston. The wonderful care shown to their father is greatly appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston. In the spring, Kim and Steve will take Bob home to Calgary where a private service will be held at that time.

Memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
