Obituary for Dana Savard
It is with great sadness the family of Dana Savard (née Jelinkova) announce her sudden passing on Thursday, April 21, 2022.
Born March 14, 1977 in Podborany, Czech Republic, Dana came to Canada as a young woman where she studied diligently to obtain her nursing diploma. Dana worked as a nurse in a long-term care setting, providing compassionate care to the senior population.
She continued to develop her skills, teaching first aid courses while she took advanced nursing courses herself.
She became a qualified yoga instructor to help those with PTSD. She was a wonderful artist, blessing friends and family with her paintings and sharing her creativity and passion with those around her.
Dana loved others and was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her partner, Hubert Stewart, along with family and friends in both Canada and the Czech Republic.
A celebration of Dana’s life was held at Hardy Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be held at Harriston Cemetery on Saturday, September 10 at 1:00 p.m.
