Elva was a very big part of my life when my kids were little. I rented from her, and she was our neighbor. She always had an encouraging word, scripture, card or little gift to share with us. I will never forget the role she played in our lives, and am so grateful to still have those beautiful cards-and memories! She has-and will-often come to mind-what a great lady.

I am very sorry for your loss. Elva was a very sweet lady. I first met her at the Listowel Evangelical Missionary church. She was always friendly and would always ask how my mom was doing after my dad passed away. Leone and I would talk about her when we chatted at the dental office. My deepest sympathy to you all.

Our sincere condolences to the family. Growing up, I enjoyed going to Earl and Elva's farm to play with Lois, Iva, Paul, and Joan.
We always appreciated her prayers and support for us as missionaries in Brazil. At our last visit with her, we mentioned the importance of exercise to prolong life. She replied, "That's why I don't do it." She was ready to go home to her eternal home.
