It is with deep sadness that the family of Hilda Anna (Hofreuther) Hones, formerly of R.R.1, Gorrie, announce her passing at Caressant Care, Listowel on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the age of 88.

Loved wife of the late Engelbert ‘Bert’ Hones (2021).

Mother of Angie Smith and her husband Norman, and Heinz Hones and his wife Laurie.

Devoted Oma to Jesse Hones, Sonya Hones, Maria Smith, and Alex Smith. They will miss her greatly.

Loving aunt to Michael (Betty), George (Evelyn), Andrew, Christine (Paul), Steven (Sylvie), Peter (Sheryl), and Jacqueline.

Predeceased by her son Helmut Hones and her nephew Gerhard Hones.

Hilda was a kind, gentle, and loving person. She dedicated her life to taking great care of her family. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 10:00 until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Fr. Ross Bartley officiating. Reception to follow at the Harriston Legion.

Interment in Drayton Cemetery.
