Condolence From: patrick Joseph Lynch
Condolence: He will surely be missed. He did more for the Ontario wheat industry than anyone else. His dedication to red wheat and making it happen was phenomenal. I guess the only thing that was greater was his frustration with individuals in Ontario that did not share his vision. I can remember many times sitting in his little office as he would get red in the face and use a string of expletives describing the nonsense that was going on in the wheat industry. Certainly was entertaining. But he did not relent. He was right, knew it and pursued it. Ahh J D we will miss you and your energy and ideas.

Condolence From: Quentin Martin
Condolence: JD brought a flamboyance that provoked the seed industry of the 1980’s and 90’s in a positive direction. No question he ‘moved the dial’ on the wheat industry in ON; not just for C&M but for the seed industry and wheat research in general. He helped make wheat ‘cool’ before the rest of us figured out how important it is to have a cereal crop in a sustainable crop rotation. Blessings to Faye and family.
