Obituary for June Kelly
June (Penny) Estelle Chesterman Kelly, (born Annie McLellan) was born in Donnelly, Alberta, on June 3, 1927, and passed away on February 5, 2021, at the Palmerston Hospital, at the age of 93.
Wife of the late Ellwood John Kelly, her loving husband for 66 years until his death in 2010.
Survived by son Randy (Peggy) Kelly of Kelowna, B.C., daughter Lynda (John) Kerr of Harriston, Ontario, and daughter-in-law Inez (late John) Kelly of Trout River, Newfoundland.
Grandmother of Michael Kelly of Vancouver, B.C., and Patricia Kelly of London, Ontario. Remembered also by her nephews Neil (Bonnie) Ball of Saskatchewan, and Stewart and Barrie Bendick of Alberta, and by her niece Pamela Taylor of Alberta.
Predeceased by her son John Kelly, nephew Robert Taylor, brothers Archie McLellan and Alex Bendick, sister-in-law Irene Bendick, sister Katharine Ball, and by her parents Neil and Annie McLellan, and adoptive parents Charles and Miriam Chesterman.
The family wish to thank all the staff at Palmerston & District Hospital for all their care and sacrifice during these very difficult times and for being with our Mother during the last hours of her life.
Private family arrangements have been entrusted to the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston. A Celebration of her Life will be held in Kelowna, B.C., in the future.
