Elizabeth Cora Jean (Spence) Holland passed away at Royal Terrace Palmerston on Sunday, February 12th, 2023 in her 92nd year.

Beloved wife of the late George Holland.

Loving mother of Brian and Nancy Holland of St Clements, Maureen Holland of Guelph, Sharon and Dave Carter of Palmerston, Bill Holland and Lori Calder of Harriston and Shawn Holland and Sandy Jordan of Waterloo.

Grandmother of Tanya O'Toole, Amy and Cory Armitage, Christopher and Mary Holland, Jordan and Ashley Carter, Brandon Carter and Rachel Kinzel, Haley Holland and Liam Hayes, Brady and Ashton Calder and Michael and Rachel Forbes.

Great-grandmother of Connor, Samantha and Aiden O'Toole, Nora and Lyla Holland, Shepard Carter and Lily Armitage.

Predeceased by her father William Spence, mother Cora (Hicks) Brears and her stepfather Spence Brears.

Mom was born and raised in Howick Township. After marrying Dad, she moved to Harriston where they raised their 5 children. Along with raising her family she spent 25 years working at Pritchard's Grocery Store. Elizabeth was an active member of the St. George's Anglican Church, Harriston.

Along with her passion for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren she had a great love for animals, especially her beloved dogs Beamer and Sheeba. Family was everything to Mom. Following retirement, she spent many hours on her rose garden and lawn.

The family would sincerely like to thank Royal Terrace for their care and dedication to our mother. Your thoughtfulness and care did not go unnoticed. You were not only her caregivers but you became family.

A private family service will be held at Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Thursday, February 16, 2023, with spring interment in Fordwich Cemetery.

Memorial donations to Palmerston and District Hospital or Royal Terrace Residents Council would be appreciated.
