(October 9, 1936 – January 16, 2023)
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lois Lucille (Dewbury) Lowenberg.
Lois was the wife of the late Wilbert Lowenberg (1993), and mother of Mark Lowenberg and his wife Kathy of Mount Hope, and Darryl Lowenberg of Hamilton.
Remembered by her grandchildren Jimmy Lowenberg and Mel Grillo, Sheri-Lynn Lowenberg and Chad Hyslop, and Jonathan and Johanna Lowenberg, and by her great-grandchildren Walker Lowenberg and Leanna Lowenberg.
Sister of Bruce Dewbury of Elmira, and sister-in-law of Marion Dewbury of London.
She was predeceased by her brothers Fred Dewbury, Roy Dewbury and wife Dorothy, Art Dewbury and wife Jean, Jack Dewbury and wife Marjorie, and Robert Dewbury and wife Doris, and by her sister Kathlean Hannah and husband Robert, and by her parents William and Alexia (Marshall) Dewbury.
A long time employee of Bell Canada, mom enjoyed outings with the Lois Club in Hamilton, and with the Red Hatters and the ‘Day Away Program’ in Port Elgin.
Lois passed away at the Chartwell Willowgrove LTC in Ancaster, and her family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to all the staff at Scenic Woods for their kindness and care.
Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Friday, January 20th from 12:00 Noon until time of funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Following the service, there will be a reception at the Harriston Legion (upstairs auditorium).
Spring interment in Harriston Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
