Obituary for Myrtle Demerling

Myrtle Florence (Koehler) Demerling passed away quietly at her home in Clifford on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at the age of 69.

Wife of the late Brian Demerling (January 19, 2020).

Mother of Vicki Manto and her husband Roger, and Deborah Campbell and her husband Douglas, all of Clifford. Grandmother of Samantha and Nathan Hill of Arthur, Nicole Manto and friend Kyle Lonsdale of Guelph, and Michael Manto of Clifford, and great-grandmother of Cassandra Hill.

Sister of Mary Becker of Ayton, and sister-in-law of Jack and Shirley Murray, and Jean and Dale Ersman, all of Clifford.

Predeceased by her parents Norman and Lillie (Dietz) Koehler, sister Jean Murray, brother Gerald Koehler, and by her brother-in-law Allan Becker.

Visitation will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and again at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Clifford, on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visitors must schedule a time to attend on the funeral home website, or by calling 519-338-2441. Everyone attending must wear a mask.

A private family funeral service will be held at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Clifford on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Jody Rinas officiating. The service will be recorded and uploaded shortly after the service.

Pallbearers for Myrtle will be Michael Manto, Nathan Hill, Kyle Lonsdale, Warren Becker, Kevin Chalmers, and Chris Grimmick.

Interment in Clifford Cemetery.
