Obituary for Noel Sedman

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces Noel Sedman passed peacefully in his home on May 25th, 2021 in his 91st year.

Noel was the beloved husband of 62 years to Phyllis (Kay) Sedman, loving father to Peter & his wife Julie, and cherished grandfather of Scott.

Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews and a great friend to many.

He was predeceased by his parents William & Lillian Sedman and his sister Frances and her husband Peter Llewellyn.

Noel was born on December 6th, 1930 in Neath, South Wales. During his formative years the family moved and settled in Bristol, England. As a young man and after serving in the RAF as an armourer he stayed in Bristol and worked for Thomas Cooke Travel Agency.

It was in Bristol that he met the love of his life Kay, and in 1958 they married. Peter was born a year later, Noel was proud to have a son that he could share his hobbies with. In 1965 Noel and his young family immigrated to Canada, first settling in North York and then moving to Kitchener.

He opened his own successful travel agency, Noel Sedman Travel Service, and enjoyed the work for many years before selling the business. His final move brought him to the quiet town of Clifford to be closer to his son and daughter in law.

Noel had a great passion for airguns, hunting and the outdoors and he enjoyed the company of many special friends as he enjoyed these hobbies. He will always be remembered for his laughter, sense of humour, and his kindness. Noel will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.

A private family funeral service will be held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston, with interment in Clifford Cemetery.
