Like a '2nd Mom'
As a teenager I spent a lot of weekends at the Neil farmhouse…Cathy and I were inseparable friends, and because I lived in Clifford and she out on the farm, we would alternate weekends, traveling home on each others school buses. Quite often I was one of several add-ons to the family for the weekend…but that never seemed to faze Betty, the more the merrier it seemed. Betty was the greatest ‘2nd Mom’, I was always welcomed into the household and treated like one of her kids :) Long after I grew up, moved away and started my own family, and up until Betty’s eyesight failed, she would always remember me with a Christmas card and an update. I will treasure my memories of Betty. She will be missed! Connie Carswell Rosso
